Thesebreakthroughs offer immense potential to revolutionizehealthcare, addressing long-standing challenges andopening new avenues for treatment and diagnosis. AI hasfurther cemented its role in healthcare, particularly indiagnostics. Studies have demonstrated the ability ofmachine learning algorithms to identify subtle diseasemarkers with unprecedented accuracy. For example, astudy published in Biomedicines explored AI-based retinalimaging, revealing its effectiveness in predictingcardiovascular risks and metabolic disorders.1 Building onthe success of mRNA vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic, 2024 research has expanded their applicationsto other diseases, including cancer. A groundbreaking trialpublished in The Lancet demonstrated the efficacy of apersonalized mRNA vaccine in reducing tumour recurrencein melanoma patients.2 Continued....
