My Experience With JPMA

Sajjad Raza - Past Editor, Students\' Corner, JPMA.

I was a third year medical student when in January of 2008 I got an opportunity to work with Dr. Fatema Jawad and since then I haven\\\'t waivered; although at times my affiliation with JPMA became very stressful for me to fulfill my responsibilities at JPMA along with my studies but due to Dr Fatema\\\'s unflinching support and guidance I was able to overcome all hurdles.
During my experience at JPMA, I saw it going through many ups and downs. The downs made me to do the work of stapling the files. The ups made me the students\\\' Editor for the year 2009. I enjoyed my work at JPMA. It was an honor to be in the editorial board of such a reputable journal of Pakistan. The feeling I got by seeing my name at the Editorial Panel front page of the journal; the page which contains the names of big guns of the field of medicine in Pakistan, is indefinable.
Apart from learning the skills of editorship, the art of writing and evaluating research papers, the way of communication with people, I learnt dignity of work, commitment, the skills of management and much more. I learnt from Dr. Fatema and her team to perform at our best against all odds.
It was a pleasure to be a part of JPMA and I am sure that the commitment and hard work of its affiliated people will take it to sublime heights.
