A torch of learning research was lit in 1951 when our PMA pioneers brought the first ever medical publication — The Journal of Pakistan Medical Association. And, it was only after dedicated efforts of JPMA officials then that it became the first ever indexed medical journal in the country. It is indeed a great effort on the part of present JPMA team that it is acknowledging 60 years of services of those who contributed towards this publication.
